Home Notice
To ensure the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of everyone at U & I Home Care, all residents and guests are expected to follow these guidelines.
- U & I Home Care is a smoke-free home. Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas.
- Firearms or weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited on the premises.
- No illegal drugs or alcohol are permitted by residents or guests.
- Residents must adhere to their physician’s orders for all prescribed medications.
- Medication costs are the responsibility of the resident or their guardian.
- Residents are responsible for their own personal bills.
- Residents may use the house phone. Private phone costs are the responsibility of the resident or guardian.
- Residents must maintain good personal hygiene at all times.
- Bathing is required at least once a week, with clean clothing worn afterward.
- Residents may not enter another person’s bedroom without permission.
- Always be respectful and considerate of others in the home.
- No stealing, swearing, hitting, screaming, or threatening behavior is tolerated.
- No verbal or physical abuse toward residents, staff, or visitors.
- Dress appropriately when outside of the bedroom.
- Living room seating is first-come, first-served and not assigned.
- Quiet hours are observed from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily.
- When leaving the home, inform staff where you are going, how, and when you plan to return for your safety and medication schedule.
- We do not cook pork or shellfish; families may bring these if desired. Inform staff of shellfish allergies.
- Bedrooms may be inspected by staff as necessary. No storing of soda or juice bottles—only cans are allowed.
- All residents must participate in scheduled fire and evacuation drills.
