Home Notice

To ensure the comfort, safety, and wellbeing of everyone at U & I Home Care, all residents and guests are expected to follow these guidelines.

  1. U & I Home Care is a smoke-free home. Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas.
  2. Firearms or weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited on the premises.
  3. No illegal drugs or alcohol are permitted by residents or guests.
  4. Residents must adhere to their physician’s orders for all prescribed medications.
  5. Medication costs are the responsibility of the resident or their guardian.
  6. Residents are responsible for their own personal bills.
  7. Residents may use the house phone. Private phone costs are the responsibility of the resident or guardian.
  8. Residents must maintain good personal hygiene at all times.
  9. Bathing is required at least once a week, with clean clothing worn afterward.
  10. Residents may not enter another person’s bedroom without permission.
  11. Always be respectful and considerate of others in the home.
  12. No stealing, swearing, hitting, screaming, or threatening behavior is tolerated.
  13. No verbal or physical abuse toward residents, staff, or visitors.
  14. Dress appropriately when outside of the bedroom.
  15. Living room seating is first-come, first-served and not assigned.
  16. Quiet hours are observed from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily.
  17. When leaving the home, inform staff where you are going, how, and when you plan to return for your safety and medication schedule.
  18. We do not cook pork or shellfish; families may bring these if desired. Inform staff of shellfish allergies.
  19. Bedrooms may be inspected by staff as necessary. No storing of soda or juice bottles—only cans are allowed.
  20. All residents must participate in scheduled fire and evacuation drills.
